Neil Orians


Neil Daigle Orians (they/he) is an artist, curator, and educator raised in Nebraska and now living and working in Connecticut. They received a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and MFA in Studio Art from the University of Connecticut. Their work is in private and public collections, including the Dodd Center at the University of Connecticut and the University of Iowa Print Archive. Recent exhibition venues include: Artspace (New Haven, CT); Housatonic Museum of Art (Bridgeport, CT); Czong Institute for Contemporary Art (Gimpo, Korea); and the Wanda Ewing Gallery (Omaha, NE). From 2016-2021 they were the Visual Arts Manager at Real Art Ways in Hartford where they organized more than 40 exhibitions and 2 public art projects. They teach courses on art, culture, and theory at the University of Connecticut, Quinnipiac University, and Capital Community College as well as non-classroom workshops and courses.
